Fotovortrag und Diskussion „Rechtes Land“ mit Julius Schien | Cine k
Mar 5, 2024 (UTC+1)ENDED
Oldenburg
Join the photographer Julius Schien for a thought-provoking photo presentation and discussion titled "Rechtes Land." This event sheds light on the issue of right-wing extremism in Germany, highlighting over 200 locations where acts of violence have occurred. Since 1990, more than 200 individuals have lost their lives due to right-wing violence, leaving behind a trail of tragic stories and forgotten memories. Through his project, Julius Schien aims to raise awareness and encourage people to confront the reality of these events happening in their own neighborhoods, districts, and regions. By focusing on the empty stages where these acts took place, Schien creates powerful visual narratives that bring these stories to life. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Cine k in Oldenburg, located at Bahnhofstraße 11. Tickets are available for €6.51. This event is part of the World Press Photo Exhibition in Oldenburg, organized in collaboration with the Mobile Counseling Against Right-Wing Extremism and supported by the city of Oldenburg and the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth within the framework of the federal program "Democracy Live!" Visit www.worldpressphotoausstellung-oldenburg.de for more information about the exhibition and its related activities, including lectures, discussions, workshops, and photo matinees.
