Young Shot’s Wildfowling Experience with Lytham & District Wildfowlers | Blackpool Sporting Clays

Young shots are invited to join BASC North and Lytham & District Wildfowlers Association for a Wildfowling Experience Day on Saturday 7th December 2024. The day is aimed at young shots aged 10-18 years of age, who have some previous shooting experience, but limited knowledge of wildfowling. The day will start at Blackpool Sporting Clays with a range of activities including: · Clay pigeon shooting and tuition. · Quarry identification · Preparing birds for the table · Equipment that is used · Dangers and safety when out on the marsh Young Shot’s will then be guided by members from the club for an evening duck and goose flight on the nearby marsh Cartridges loaded with steel shot will be provided for the day. Those attending will need to bring with them a nitro proof 12 or 20 bore shotgun with 2 ¾ chambers, which is choked less than half. Alternative guns can be arranged with prior notice. You will also need to bring ear and eye protection for the shooting activities if owned, and warm and waterproof clothing and footwear suitable for the expected weather and conditions. Food and refreshments will be provided during the day. Open to BASC junior members only. Minimum age 10 Max age 18
