She has taken her “big dawg” energy to venues across the world, from her Minnesota home, Acme Comedy Club, to theaters and clubs in Europe, and all the way to a cat populated stage in the back of a tattoo shop in Istanbul, Turkey. She was voted 'Racket Magazine’s 2022 Minnesota Comic to Watch,’ is twice featured in the Minnesota Star Tribune, won 2024 Best of Fest at Rip City Festival in Portland, has opened for Michael Che, Dave Attell, and Big Jay Oakerson, recently was chosen to be featured on Only Fans LMAOF TV Comedian highlight series, and her Highschool basketball team, The Winona Winhawks, made it to the State tournament three times. Emma is proud to have come up from her small town Midwestern trailer park beginnings, and continue to travel the world with a good handful of subversive jokes, goofy stories, and intercultural observations to share. Ben Katzner:A standup comedian, writer and performer currently based in Minneapolis, Ben Katzner finds humor in his upbringing – born in Atlanta, adopted at a young age and raised in a small-town Minnesota – and explores how it influences his views on relationships, family and everyday life. Ben has opened for comedians such as Gary Gulman, Kyle Kinane, Kelsey Cook and Chad Daniels and has participated in numerous comedy festivals including: the Limestone Comedy Festival, 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival, Hell Yes Fest in New Orleans, the Harlem Comedy Festival and the Orlando Indie Comedy Festival. Katzner’s debut graphic novel, Hello, My Name is Poop , was published by Wonderbound books in 2021. James Stanley:James Stanley started his journey in stand up comedy in 2013 at 16 years old. Within a few years James was hired as a house emcee at the Joke Joint Comedy Club and after that he was hired at the famous Acme Comedy Company. James has opened for names in the comedy world such as Sean Patton, Stavros Halkias, Dusty Slay, Geoffrey Asmus, Nimesh Patel, Keslsey Cook, and more. In 2021 James was featured in Comics to Watch MN and in 2022 was featured in the Minneapolis Dispatch. Driftless Dance Film Tour - Winona Arts Center Come join us for a night of dance films at Winona Arts Center! The Driftless Dance Film Tour will be put on by Sydney Swanson in collaboration with six venues across the Driftless (Southeastern) area of Minnesota. The tour will feature works by MN-based dance film artists Brianna Johnson, Erin Drummond, Erinn Liebhard, Leila Awadallah, Sarah Abdel-Jelil, Sharon Mansur, and Sydney Swanson. Each event will feature the same films and will include an artist Q&A with two of the artists following the screenings. This event will run roughly two hours with about 75 minutes between 8 films and a 20-30 minute Q&A. After winning the Rainbow Stage High School Musical award last year for their original production, Unpenned, the Transcona Collegiate Musical Theatre Ensemble is at it again with a brand new musical! Red Herring is a comedic, mystery musical set at Cherry Oaks High School, a place where every student fits in. When Sam Randolph, a new student looking for a fresh start, joins the school's student monitor program, he is paired with know-it-all student detective, Charlie Hardy. When a terrible crime befalls Cherry Oaks, Sam and Charlie are put to the test as they try and solve it, while balancing their own senses of right and wrong, loyalty, and justice.
