Onomichi Sumiyoshi Fireworks Festival | Onomichi
Celebration
This is one of the largest fireworks displays in western Japan, held in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. It has a long history dating back to the middle of the Edo period. About 13,000 fireworks, including spectacular starry sky fireworks, gorgeous underwater fireworks, and rapid fireworks, light up the night sky and sea. In addition to the main venue, Onomichi Strait, it is also recommended to watch the fireworks from Mukojima and Senkoji Temple. In addition to the fireworks, the event also features mikoshi and sea lanterns.
The biggest highlight is the showdown between the majestic "starlight" and the fantastic underwater fireworks. With the streets and sea of Onomichi City as the background, a thrilling feast of sound and light will be staged. In addition, the speed of the continuous fireworks and the brilliant light will add color to the night sky, creating the most beautiful and stunning moments of the summer night.
