The Kasaoka Festival is a major summer event in Kasaoka City, with its core activity being the fireworks display. "Nocturne Night" is held in front of JR Kasaoka Station and along the prefectural government street, where people dance to the "Kasaoka Nocturne." In addition, the "Kasaoka City Karaoke League Championship" and the "Shopping Street Festival" are also held. The fireworks display at the Kasaoka Festival is the most popular in Okayama Prefecture, taking place from Sumiyoshi Port to Fushikoshi Port, with fireworks launched from the eastern breakwater of the Kasaoka Bay reclamation area. The dense bursts of sparklers and the largest fireworks display in the Chugoku region create a spectacular scene. Approximately 5,500 fireworks are launched simultaneously.

The Silk Road connects the East and the West. It has been an important channel for communication and trade since ancient times, and a place of cultural integration where many ethnic groups have risen and fallen. This exhibition will introduce cultural relics collected by museums and research institutions in Luoyang, Xi'an, Lanzhou, Dunhuang, and Xinjiang. This is the first large-scale exhibition held abroad after the successful application for World Heritage status, with a total of 44 "first-class cultural relics", which are China's most precious treasures. We will display a group of aromatic treasures from the West and the North, Tang Dynasty masterpieces with deep roots in Japan, and exquisite Buddhist art.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Abilities Tennis clinics. Abilities Tennis of North Carolina (ATANC) provides free tennis programming for athletes with intellectual disabilities ages 8 and up. Our mission is to promote fitness, foster community and champion inclusion for athletes with intellectual disabilities through adaptive tennis. Volunteers play an important role in making these clinics possible for the athletes. Spring clinics will meet on Saturdays from 3:45 - 4:45 PM at Action Park. On Sunday, February 23 there will be a Volunteer Training from 3:00 - 5:00 PM. Volunteers will go through a mock clinic on the courts. We will discuss how to work with athletes with intellectual disabilities and best practices for teaching and volunteering on the tennis court. We'll then work on ball and racquet drills to help teach our athletes the highly adaptive game of tennis. Abilities athletes range in skill level with some learning how to hold and swing a racquet to hit red-dot starter balls and others playing full court with regular yellow balls.
