The Yokohama Oktoberfest 2026 will be held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza from September 18th (Friday) to October 4th (Sunday), a total of 17 days. This year, the event continues the Munich-style tradition, with five of the six German government-certified breweries participating. In addition, over 20 shops will be on-site, offering a wide selection of beers from Germany to locally brewed brews, including well-known brands making their Japanese debut and special beers exclusive to the event. For the first time, "tasting sets" with original beer glasses will be introduced, providing beer lovers with the opportunity to discover new varieties and first-timers with the chance to find their favorite brews. The venue features four zones to fully immerse you in the vibrant atmosphere: a large tent area, a beer garden bar area perfect for enjoying drinks with friends, the Hofbro bar area suitable even for first-timers, and a lawn relaxation area ideal for families and dog owners, catering to diverse activity needs in different settings.

Yokohama Hakkeijima Ocean Park will host a 19-day "Fireworks Symphony" fireworks display from May 30, 2026 (Saturday) to March 21, 2027 (Sunday). This unique fireworks show, created by the ocean park, uses digital control, with the fireworks synchronized with the music to an accuracy of 0.1 seconds. Approximately 2,500 fireworks will be launched over 10 minutes. The fireworks dance to the music, shining and leaping in the night sky, leaving behind a magnificent trail.

This exhibition explores the innovative spirit and personality of this queen in pioneering new styles across various fields, using clothing, jewelry, and furniture from her era as a framework. Furthermore, the exhibition demonstrates how the "style" shaped by this queen transcends generations, continuing to attract attention and inspire contemporary creators. This exhibition is a world tour from the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A) in London, and the Yokohama Museum of Art is the first and only venue in Japan to host it.

The Yokohama Rakuten Festival, themed "The Wonderful World is Here," will be held on October 17th (Saturday) and 18th (Sunday), 2026, at seven venues in the Minato Mirai New Port area. The festival, created and organized by the community to promote local vitality and interaction, marks its 11th year and serves as a new starting point for the next decade, becoming a new celebration where everyone, regardless of nationality, participates, interacts, and shares joy. Approximately 120 teams and nearly 2,800 dancers from all over Japan gathered in Yokohama. They presented a diverse and exciting performance in the Minato Mirai district. Colorful costumes, bells, and energetic dances brought vitality and laughter to Yokohama in autumn.

From June 17, 2026 (Wednesday) to April 7, 2027 (Wednesday), the Pola Museum of Art will hold the exhibition "A New Eye - Monet and 21st Century Art," commemorating the 100th anniversary of Monet's death and the 25th anniversary of the museum's opening.Claude Monet was a leading master of Impressionism. The 19 oil paintings held by the Pola Museum of Art constitute the largest collection in Asia, encompassing important works from Monet's early to late periods. This exhibition will showcase this miraculous collection in its entirety. Furthermore, through the gazes of 18 contemporary artists from Japan and abroad—the most sensitive "eyes" that reflect the times—the exhibition will re-examine the act of "seeing," the beginning of our contact with the world, and open up new horizons for Monet.
