The Geumgil Horizon Festival is South Korea's only honorary cultural tourism festival designated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, dedicated to traditional agricultural culture. Centered around Byegok Reservoir, South Korea's oldest and largest irrigation facility, the festival celebrates the nation's rich agricultural traditions. Against a vast skyline, festival activities include the Presidential Cup National Farming Competition, as well as hands-on agricultural experiences such as cooking rice over a traditional wood-fired stove, catching grasshoppers, and harvesting rice. Visitors can also participate in traditional performances, such as the Byegok Double Dragon Show inspired by local legends, and the "Festival Tug-of-War" to pray for a bountiful harvest.

The 2026 Jeonju Bibimbap Festival was held from October 2nd to 4th at Deokjin Park in Jeonju, South Korea (around Deokjin Lake, Yeonjeong Pavilion, and Yeonjeong Library). This is Jeonju's most representative food culture festival, celebrating bibimbap, the state's signature dish. This three-day "outdoor picnic-style" festival fully utilized the natural scenery of Deokjin Lake, featuring a signature giant bibimbap performance (participants could mix and share a giant bowl of bibimbap), a Jeonju Korean cuisine parade showcasing local delicacies and cultural heritage, a bibimbap-themed hall for cooking experiences with master chefs, and an experience hall incorporating various bibimbap-themed activities, among other rich content.

This event aims to promote Hanbok (traditional Korean dress) culture, featuring a variety of supporting programs including exhibitions, hands-on activities, and fashion shows, and is held annually during the third week of October. October 21st is designated as "Hanbok Day," and the week is designated as Hanbok Culture Week, promoting the wearing of Hanbok nationwide and providing a variety of activities to integrate Hanbok culture into daily life. During Hanbok Culture Week, a variety of Hanbok cultural activities will be held throughout the country, including exhibitions, hands-on experiences, educational programs, and forums.
