Ichikawamisato Town Hometown Summer Festival Fireworks Display | Ichikawamisato
Celebration
The festival is held every year on August 7, Fireworks Day, in Ichikawa-Sango-cho, Yamanashi Prefecture. As one of the largest festivals in the prefecture, about 20,000 fireworks are set off from the banks of the Fuefuki River downstream of the Migun Bridge. The biggest charm of the festival lies in its combination of music, vision and sound, and the story-filled performances that render the night sky into a gorgeous glow. About 200,000 people attend each year, and there are about 80 food stalls around the venue where you can also enjoy gourmet food.
The characteristic of the Shinmei Fireworks Festival is that the program is perfectly synchronized with the music, and the performances that are synchronized with the development of the music create a sense of narrative. The biggest attraction is the large starry sky shells that appear in the second half of the fireworks festival, and the continuous large fireworks that cover the venue. The performances of the skilled fireworks craftsmen are magnificent and beautiful enough to move the hearts of the audience. In addition, a different theme is set each year, and the emotions poured into that year are portrayed in the night sky.
