The Hoko Festival, held every August 1st in Yamanakako Village, Minamitsuru County, Yamanashi Prefecture, is a traditional event that began in the Taisho era. This is the first fireworks festival of the Fuji Five Lakes Fireworks Festival, which consists of a religious ceremony and a fireworks festival, and is named after the literary master Tokutomi Soho. The launch site in the Yamanaka area is located on the shore of Yamanakako, and the launch site in the Hirano area is located at Yamanakako Cape.
