The Aloha Festival is the largest Hawaiian cultural festival in the United States! It's a Hawaiian cultural celebration that begins with a Royal Court Inauguration ceremony on September 5, 2026, where attendees wear formal attire reserved for the highest-ranking Aliis, followed by an opening ceremony at the Royal Grove. Waikiki Hoolaulea, Hawaii's largest street party, takes place on September 19, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring local food, music, and entertainment; the Aloha Festival Flower Parade takes place on September 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Kalakaua Avenue.

Hawaii International Film Festival(HIFF) is held every year in the state of Hawaii, USAFilmFilm Festival. HIFF's mission is twofold: to bring the best international cinema to Hawaii and to promote the people of Asia, the Pacific, and North America through the medium of film. HIFF also offers educational content, including symposiums and workshops in the fields of film, music, technology and media.

On December 22, 1871, King Kamehameha V proclaimed a national holiday in honor of his grandfather, the father of the Kingdom of Hawaii. Originally, the people of Hawaii wanted to honor the achievements of Lot Kapuaiwa (Kamehameha V) on his birthday (December 11). However, Kamehameha V, a humble chief, chose to honor his grandfather and postpone the holiday as far as possible to Lot's birthday, thus making June 11 a national holiday. Thus, June 11, 1872 became the first-ever Kamehameha Day.
