Pyoseon Beach White Sand Festival | Seogwipo
Celebration
Pyoseon is located in the southeast of Jeju Island and is one of the first industrial centers of Jeju Island. It is an area where traditional culture and tourism coexist, and many tourists come to visit every year. It has long been the center of Jeju Island because it was the seat of Jeongjeonghyeon, one of the three counties of Jeju Island during the Joseon Dynasty. You can visit and experience the embryonic form of Jeju Island's traditional culture, such as Jeju Folk Village and Seongeup Folk Village, where about 100 traditional houses and folk craftsmen still reproduce the era of 2~300 years.
Pyoseon Beach White Sand Festival is said to be a festival that combines a vast white sand beach, local specialties, and unique traditional culture. There will be a variety of programs such as beach soccer games held on the white sand beach, folk experience projects such as children's pools, water gun games, water thigh runs, and throwing rice cakes, and sea stage performance projects. In 2017, it was selected as the best festival designated by Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, proving its reputation.
