Judging at the preliminary competition opens up opportunities for judges to advance to qualifiers and national levels. To be certified for the competition, judges are required to participate in a one-day Judges Certification Workshop, hosted by the USLAC Presiding Head Judge. Additionally, an Online Learning Session, approximately 3-6 weeks prior to the competition, is also mandatory. For Visual Judges, we are calling all latte art lovers! You don't have to be a professional barista to sign up for visual judging. If you possess good eyesight and can discern contrast in colors, write legibly, are willing to calibrate with the Head Judge and other judges, and love latte art, then you are welcome to judge at USLAC!
