The MSHSL MN Head Coaches Course - Wayzata High School is a certification program designed for individuals who aspire to become head coaches in Minnesota public high schools but do not meet the requirements of MS122A.33. This course, known as the MN Head Coach Certification (MNHCC), is specifically tailored to fulfill the MN Statute requirements. Coaches will receive comprehensive education through a blended approach, combining seven hours of face-to-face instruction with various online components. As part of the program, coaches will complete the NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching online course and the USCAH Health, Safety and Wellness course, both of which are included in the registration fee. Access to these courses will be provided after the completion of the MNHCC. Additionally, coaches are required to fulfill the Continuing Education Requirement modules and Annual Rules Modules on the MSHSL Coaches Dashboard, which can be completed at no additional cost. Successful completion of the seven-hour Zoom course and the online components, totaling 60 clock hours, will meet the requirements of MN Statute 122A.33, thus making participants eligible to serve as head coaches in Minnesota.
