This interactive workshop covers the complete process of raising egg-laying chickens, from chick care to maximizing egg production. Participants will engage in hands-on activities, discussions, and problem-solving exercises to develop essential poultry management skills. Key learning objectives includes Identifying developmental phases and care needs of laying hens, set up and manage an ideal brooding environment, understand dietary requirements for different growth stages, recognize and manage common poultry illnesses, design optimal living conditions for stress-free, high-yield egg production and implementing best practices for handling and storing eggs. Interactive activities will include hands-on chick care demonstration (brooding setup), feed formulation challenges to select proper nutrition, health check role to identify and manage diseases, nest box design for optimal egg-laying conditions, egg handling and quality assessment techniques and problem-solving scenarios on low production, stress factors, and predator threats. This workshop combines theory with practical experience to enhance participants' poultry management skills.
