The Walk!Bike!Fun! In Person Training 2023 - Saint Paul is an essential component of BikeMN's educator training program. This training will provide participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively teach BikeMN's pedestrian and bicycle safety curriculum. By attending this in-person, on-bike training, educators will have the opportunity to gain familiarity with various bike safety lessons and activities. Additionally, participants will increase their confidence and comfort when riding with traffic, while also understanding the support that BikeMN can offer when teaching children how to ride bikes. To ensure a comprehensive training experience, it is important to complete Part One, which is an online training module. This module utilizes content from a previous version of the Walk!Bike!Fun! curriculum. Although some aspects, such as page numbers, may be outdated, the content remains relevant. If you require a current digital version of the curriculum, please request it here. During Part Two of the training, all participants will receive a hard copy of the updated curriculum. Participants are welcome to bring their own bikes, although it is not required. It is recommended to come prepared with a helmet and water bottle. Dress comfortably for biking and consider the weather conditions. Lunch will be provided during the training session. Upon completion of both training parts, educators will receive 8 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for their active participation.
