Join the BIPOC affinity ride at Fire Mountain Trails in Cherokee, NC on November 18, 2023, for an unforgettable experience. This ride is open to individuals of all genders who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or person of color). It's a celebration of diversity and community as we come together to shred the trails and enjoy the beauty of Fire Mountain. There are two group rides available for registration. The beginner ride covers approximately 4.5 miles with 450 ft of climbing and includes stops and a slow pace. The intermediate ride is around 6-7 miles with 800-1000 ft of climbing, featuring technical sections and a flow trail descent. Both rides offer breathtaking views and a chance to challenge yourself on the trails. If you need a bike, a limited number will be available to borrow. Please indicate your need when registering, and we'll do our best to provide one for you. After the ride, UnSPOKEn Bond (Laura Blythe, Creator) will host a social gathering at BCO Cherokee, the local bike shop. Hot dogs and chips will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring a side dish to share. We kindly ask that only those who identify as BIPOC register for this ride to ensure an inclusive and supportive environment. Remember to check the weather before the ride and dress accordingly. Bring layers to adjust to changing temperatures throughout the ride.
