Semana Santa de Sevilla 2026 | Seville
Celebration
Seville's Holy Week, is one of the most important festivals in Spain. Holy Week in 2026 will be held from March 27th to April 5th. This religious festival commemorates the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ, filling the city streets with a unique atmosphere of passion and remembrance. Seville's Holy Week processions are a true visual and auditory spectacle, most notably the processions organized by the fraternities. During this time, over 60 fraternities participate, all dressed in Nazarene attire, following porters carrying religious icons back to the cathedral. Don't worry about missing the processions; the streets and alleys are packed with participants. The most prominent figure is Our Lady of Hope, Macarina, Seville's most popular icon, also known as Our Lady of Seville.
