Caroline Baldock will be delivering an enthralling talk on the techniques and life of Monty Roberts at the Epsom R D A in Epsom. As one of the first professional flat jockeys, Baldock's career path led her to the renowned Horseman's Bookshop. Her remarkable journey with Monty Roberts and Pat Roberts began in California, where she was invited to collaborate on three books, spending over three years with them. During this time, she experienced a world of adventure, travel, and most importantly, discovery, all centered around their shared passion for horses. Attend the Watercolour Brush Lettering workshop in Epsom at Esquires Coffee shop. This creative session offers a modern approach to hand lettering, covering mark-making, letter formation, and phrases. You will have the opportunity to practice creating quotes, phrases, loose florals, blending colors, washes, and ombre effects to enhance your lettering skills. All necessary materials, including an aqua brush pen, watercolor paint, paint pallet, and worksheets, will be provided for you to take home and practice further. This workshop is suitable for beginners, whether right or left-handed, aged 10 and above. Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and cake during the session. Our third Art Surrey event will take place at Sandown Park Racecourse - in the heart of Esher, Surrey. Over 100 artists, both emerging and established, each of whom you will be able to meet, will be situated throughout the Surrey Hall with 4000+ artworks for sale. Friday 21st March: 5.00pm – 8.00pm. In celebration of this year’s Summer Reading Challenge 2025 theme Story Garden, join us at Epsom library for an hour where we will take your child on an adventure of plants that will inspire their next story. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Join Kid and Pinto, two curious Seedologists on a quest to discover new specimens. Together they follow the journey of a mysterious new seed that has appeared in the library, observing its transformation as it travels through the four seasons. This fun, interactive adventure is inspired by nature and the world around us. Created in collaboration with children and their families in 2024, it’s an enchanting experience for all, particularly those aged 6 and under. Don’t miss this latest work from Made By Katie Green, featuring new poetry by Anna Selby, design by Hannah Green and Edel Izquierdo and music by Dougie Evans.
