It will incorporate the fundamentals, understanding, and execution of all major skills involved in the game. Senator Stadelman's HoopStars FREE 3-on-3 Youth Basketball Tournament is an exciting event that welcomes boys and girls in grades 5-8 (for the 2023-24 school year) to showcase their skills on the court. Taking place on September 4, 2023, at the UW Health Sports Factory in Rockford, IL, this tournament offers a fantastic opportunity for young athletes to participate and compete. To ensure a fair and enjoyable competition, the tournament follows specific rules. Each team is guaranteed two games, with single elimination taking place after the first round. Games will last up to 20 minutes, allowing participants to fully demonstrate their talent. Regarding fouls, teams in the process of shooting a foul will receive one free throw and retain possession of the ball. After the 6th team foul, bonus shots will be given, with the opposing team gaining possession regardless of the outcome. Each team is entitled to one timeout per game. Technical fouls will result in one point and possession for the opposing team, while flagrant fouls will lead to automatic ejection.
