Bosch Parade | Den Bosch
Celebration
The Bosch Cruise is an interdisciplinary art exhibition presented as a waterborne parade. More precisely, it's an art performance in the form of a cruise, with artworks of various sizes drifting gently on the Domer River. The Bosch Cruise allows a wide audience to appreciate contemporary art inspired by the works and philosophy of Hieronymus Bosch. In terms of both set design and visual effects, the Bosch Cruise is truly unique in the world. Event Highlights: Floating Stage: Contemporary art installations, sculptures, theater, and musical performances float along the river, creating a "flowing scroll." Multidisciplinary Integration: Visual arts + live music + theater + contemporary design. Environmental Concern: Works encourage minimal use of electricity or motors, emphasizing "primitive power" such as human power, wind power, and water flow, echoing Bosch's fantastical, mechanical, and half-human, half-animal world. International Artist Participation: Artists, performers, and designers from around the world collaborate to create floating artworks. Interactive Terminal: In the Garden of Earthly Delights area, visitors can interact with artists face-to-face and learn about the creative process.
