Degender Dance - Healing Movement Workshop Come join us for a transformative experience at our Healing Movement Workshop! This one hour class offers accessible somatic healing through movement, breath work and visualization. Quality mental health treatment can be expensive. In order to help accessibility and to serve a population in need, we are launching our first annual aquatic race at Guppy Gulch! All proceeds of this event will go towards mental health treatment (individual counseling, retreats, and intensives) for our Veterans and First Responders. Guppy Gulch is a 15-acre freshwater reservoir filled with inflatable slides, climbing walls, a zipline, a rodeo pier, and aquatic jungle-gyms. Purchase a race ticket to race through the water obstacles or purchase a stay and play ticket if you would rather skip the race and just enjoy Guppy Gulch with family and friends! We encourage everyone to bring friends and family to make a day out of it! There will be vendors, a DJ, cornhole, and more! Doors will open at 9am. Packet pick-up will be from 9-10am with the first heats of the race starting at 10am. All are welcome ot stay as late as 5pm! Guppy Gulch is located in Delta, PA (25 minutes north from Bel Air). This class meets on Wednsday, 11/6 , Thursday 11/7, Wednesday 11/13, and Thursday 11/14 from 6-8:30 pm. Learn how to create multicolor screenprints in this in-depth class! In many printmaking processes, including screenprinting, multicolor images are created by printing each color separately. In this class, students will learn how to compose images that will yield succesful prints, how to align your prints as you build up your image, tricks to get unique color effects, and more. Students will leave this class with an edition of multicolor prints and a zine outlining what they learned. All experience levels welcome! Beginners, come ready to learn a lot! If you've done some printing and would like support in adding color to your work, this is the class for you! This class is taught by AAC Class Coordinator and Print Studio Manager Katey Rissi. This class is held in the print studio in the main art building on the AAC campus. Directions and parking information will be included in your confirmation email. Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that classes meet their minimums in order to run! If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout. Sustaining tickets help us continue to invest in programming. Full price tickets cover the costs associated with running classes.
