St. Louis's premier annual indie print expo takes place October 31 at The Sheldon! The St. Louis Independent Comics Expo (SLICE) is St. Louis’s premier annual indie-print showcase, bringing together over 100 writers and artists from St. Louis and beyond to showcase their self-published books, comics, zines, prints, magazines, poetry, and more. SLICE 2026 takes place on October 31, 10 a.m.–5 p.m., at The Sheldon Concert Hall and Art Galleries. The expo is free to attend and open to the public. Programming throughout the day will include lectures and workshops by SLICE’s special and featured guests, as well as activities provided by local artists and organizations. SLICE’s 2026 special guests are illustrator and cartoonist Nicole Goux , indie publisher WildStar Press , and St. Louis–based storyteller Crystal Odelle . Zea will highlight the importance of renewed investment in inland waterways infrastructure and priorities that will deliver the greatest return on investment. The event will also feature the release of the 2027 Priority Projects List with associated remarks by representatives of both the Illinois and Missouri Departments of Transportation.
