Celebration
Every year, hundreds of thousands of tourists flock to Venice for the Carnival. One of the world's most famous and oldest festivals, the Venice Carnival is a unique celebration. It elevates the experience to new heights. This is no quiet trip; the Venice Carnival is expected to attract around 3 million visitors annually. The entire city transforms into a stage of fantasy, history, and joy. In 2026, the Venice Carnival will celebrate Italy's Olympic year with the theme "Olympus – The Origin of Sport," a theme that blends art, mythology, and sports. The 2026 Venice Olympics will celebrate the upcoming Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, cleverly blending Venice's rich sporting history with boundless creativity. Every event will showcase the joy of play, the courage to push limits, and the beauty of imagination. From St. Mark's Square to the Armory, and beyond, the entire city will become a living stage where myth and reality intertwine. A grand celebration is about to begin, where tourists, locals, and people from different cultures will blend together in a joyful atmosphere.

The Venetian restaurant model that hosts works by local artists belongs to a longstanding tradition of practices with roots going back to the immediate postwar period in the lagoon. During this time, a network of taverns, trattorias, and restaurants across the city began to serve not only as places for nourishment but also as hubs for exchange, encounters, and cultural debate for the local and international artistic community.

Venice
Exhibitions
A permanent exhibition dedicated to the great master Igor Mitoraj, whose bronzes and marbles enrich the halls of our headquarters in Venice. His art is distinguished by the use of fragmented human figures - serene faces, mutilated bodies - that evoke the fragility of the human condition, the passing of time and the wounds of history. Deeply inspired by Greek-Roman sculpture, Mitoraj interprets myth and antiquity with a contemporary vision, creating works charged with melancholic beauty and mystery. His sculptures fill squares and museums around the world, offering the public a silent dialogue between past and present.

Manu-Facture: The Ceramics of Lucio Fontana  | Peggy Guggenheim Collection

Venice
Exhibitions
In fall 2025, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection presents Manu-Facture: The Ceramics of Lucio Fontana, organized by art historian and independent curator Sharon Hecker. The show is the first museum exhibition to focus exclusively on Lucio Fontana’s (1899–1968) rich corpus of ceramic works and will provide an exceptional testament to the artist’s creative imagination in sculpture. With about seventy works, on loan from public and private collections, including previously unexhibited pieces, the exhibition encompasses a broad range of subjects—from human figures to animals, harlequins, warriors, as well as abstract forms. While some sculptures emphasize the organic nature of the medium, others are glazed with bright and intense colors. Some were produced in series, while others are unique objects. The show also features photographic documentation of Fontana at work and reveals the importance of the artist’s hand in the creative process.

Curated by Francesco Ceretti, Michele Nicolaci e Filippo Piazza, the exhibition introduces the general public to the Brescian painter Pietro Bellotti (1625–1700), who spent most of his career in Venice. Though still relatively unknown, Bellotti’s work is undeniably fascinating, the exhibition aims to position him within the extraordinary artistic context of seventeenth-century Venetian painting.
