Fantasy Forest is the brainchild of a team of seasoned festival veterans who dreamed of introducing a different kind of festival to the UK. A festival that brings together fans from all shades of fantasy for a weekend, offering a feast of entertainment and spectacle. Whether you love sci-fi and fantasy films, books and TV, fantasy art, comics, anime, cosplay, LARP, steampunk or historical re-enactments, you are welcome. A meeting place to meet like-minded people. Get together with old friends and make new ones! Located on the grounds of Sudeley Castle, with views across the rolling Cotswold Hills, it is a fairytale setting perfect for a fantasy romp. Often referred to as one of the most idyllic wedding venues in the UK, this is a truly unique venue with over 1,200 years of history. While you're at the festival, don't forget to visit the tomb of Queen Catherine Parr, the last wife of King Henry VIII, who lived and died at the castle. The chapel, mausoleum and award-winning gardens are open to festival goers after 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Join us to explore Old Campden House on Saturday 20 - Sunday 21 June 2026, in Chipping Campden, a beautiful and historic town in north Cotswolds, as part of Chipping Campden Open Gardens. We'll be open between 11am-5pm over the weekend. (please note the later opening times). The East and West Banqueting Houses are extraordinary Jacobean buildings and all that remains of Old Campden House, destroyed in 1645 by fire. Join us on this free weekend to explore these wonderful properties and explore the traces of the historic gardens at the site. Free admission, leaflets on the building's history and children's activity sheets will be available on site. Our open days coincide with Chipping Campden Open Gardens Festival when many private gardens will be open to explore in the town. Pre-booking is preferred but drop-ins are welcome on the day. Over the past 60 years, public support has helped us rescue over 200 historic buildings and make them available for all to experience and enjoy. Your support by attending our events, booking a workshop, and making a donation allows us to continue to save buildings at risk and continue to maintain those already in our care. Your donation could help train the craftspeople needed to restore a future Landmark, offer opportunities for young people to experience history first-hand, or provide a charity with free Landmark stay for their service users through our 50 for Free scheme. The Forest of Dean Sculpture Trail celebrates 30 years of commissioning contemporary artworks with two new permanent commissions by artists Henry Castle and Pomona Zipser, unveiled on 15th July 2016. In Coal Measure Giants, rising British star Henry Castle brings to the surface aspects of what lies hidden beneath the Forest’s surface. Exploring the geological, industrial and sociological aspects of the Forest’s history, visitors will be able to touch the fossilized remains of 300 million year old trees and see the form of the mine shaft sets that provided a livelihood for generations of local freeminers. Two sculptures placed 300 metres apart act as markers, measuring the depth of the coal seam that lies directly below the ground. The work invites the public to experience a physical expression of this vertical depth. Meanwhile, Yaşasin by established Romanian artist Pomona Zipser creates a space and a structure from which to contemplate and observe the ever-changing forest. Berlin-based Zipser’s sculpture has been handcrafted from sweet chestnut felled from the site of the Trail and Zipser has collaborated with local artists and craftsmen to make the sculpture. It makes a thought-provoking and visual connection to the surrounding environment, playing with density, dimensions and colour.

A women led Dig with Dean Trail Volunteers. For Women who Dig A range of work will be available, everything from sweeping the trails clear of loose pebbles and leaves to reshaping some of the berms, jumps and rollers. A great opportunity to progress your trail building skills in a safe and supportive social space, get out in nature and give something back to the MTB community. Instructions For Diggers •Meet us at the DTV container (Right of the Pedalabikeway Café) •Wear something you don’t mind getting dirty •Wear comfortable sturdy boots to keep you feet safe •Bring gloves (gardening/building), waterproofs, sunscreen and insect repellent (as required) •Bring a bottle or water and maybe some tea/coffee and snacks as we are sometimes digging away from the cycle centre •Don’t worry if you haven’t been on a dig with us before, you will be supported by our trained dig leads and experienced regular diggers. •You will be given a hi viz vest to wear for the day and safety briefing before you start •Your car parking ticket for the day will be covered by us We're looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
