The last Femininomenon sold out quickly and we've got even more girly pop Anthems ready for you Come party with some burlesque and drag babes, and be sure to get a Taste of Discovery Bar's incredible brunch and drink menu. Doors for Early Bird ticketholders open at 10:30 a.m. and the show will begin at 12:30 p.m! We have two ticket options available: Section I - Preferred Seating: Tickets purchased for Section I will get you closer to the stage and increases the probability of performer interaction. These tickets have an 11:15 door time, so you have a little extra time to get cvnty. Section II - Early Bird Seating: By popular request, we have offered a chance for you and your friends to have more time to get your food and drink on before the show. These tickets are discounted and allow you to arrive at 10:30 - Seating is first come first serve so please arrive early for a chance at better seats! Not only will you get a chance to see performers as they're arriving, but we may have something fun planned for you early birdies. Join us for a light brunch, bottomless coffee, and the chance to hear three amazing authors introduce their newest titles! Buttonwood Books and Toys is thrilled to host Emily Everett, ALL THAT LIFE CAN AFFORD; Amity Gaige, HEARTWOOD; andJohn Kenney, I SEE YOU'VE CALLED IN DEAD. About the Authors: Emily Everett is an editor and writer from western Massachusetts and is also a Massachusetts Cultural Council Fellow in Fiction. Her short fiction appears in The Kenyon Review, Electric Literature, Tin House, and Mississippi Review. Everett grew up on a small family dairy farm, studied English and music at Smith College, and studied abroad for a year at University College London. After graduating, she returned to London to do an M.A. in literature at Queen Mary University of London. She lived and worked in the UK from 2009 to 2013, and has been managing editor of The Common, a literary magazine based at Amherst College, since 2016. All That Life Can Afford is her debut novel. Amity Gaige is the author of four previous novels, O My Darling, The Folded World, Schroder, and Sea Wife. Sea Wife was a 2020 New York Times Notable Book and a finalist for the Mark Twain American Voice Award. Schroder was also a New York Times Notable Book and a best book of 2013 according to The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, among others, and was shortlisted for UK’s Folio Prize in 2014. Her work has been translated into eighteen languages. In 2018, Amity was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship in Fiction. She lives in West Hartford, Connecticut, with her family and teaches creative writing at Yale. John Kenney is the author of two novels and four books of poetry. His first novel, Truth In Advertising, won the Thurber Prize for American humor. He is also the author of Talk to Me, which received a starred Kirkus review, and the New York Times bestseller Love Poems for Married People. He is a long-time contributor to The New Yorker. Taught by native from Beijing China, participants will have the opportunity to learn about traditional Chinese food culture and cooking techniques. Best part, we will be eating dumplings that you made! CLASSES INCLUDE: In this 2 hours lesson. we’ll learn, cook and eat dumplings in a fun and causal environment! Learn how to make traditional Chinese dumplings 3 different ways + our family secret sauce! Learn how to make dumpling wrappers from scratch. All the equipment and ingredients will be provided. Both meat and vegetarian fillings will be provided . Vegan/Gluten Free options are available upon request at additional cost. Please contact bostonbonbon@gmail.com. No experience is required! BYOB (optional). CLASS INFO: 2-12 people per class. Group rates and private sessions available. Contact bostonbonbon@gmail.com. Participants can be sitting during the entire class. Standing is optional. Parking is available nearby. Child fare: Children aged between 2 and 11 years (up to their 12th birthday) must be registered for the class (75 per cent of the regular price). Babies (0-2 years) who do not occupy a seat can attend for free. Either case, please email bostonbonbon@gmail.com for registration. Children 12 years and up need to be registered at adult regular fare. If participants are under 18 years of age, and without accompanying parents , please notify us ahead of time via email at bostonbonbon@gmail.com. A 100% refund, less a $10 service fee, will be given if the refund is asked no later than 7 days before the class. No refunds will be issued otherwise, unless the class is canceled by Boston Bonbon. In this event, 100% of the class cost will be refunded. Note: Eventbrite does not refund its fees when issuing refunds (full or partial) to the original form of payment. Pamela Kelley, The Nantucket Restaurant Allison King, The Phoenix Pencil Company Meg Mitchell Moore, Mansion Beach About the Authors Pamela Kelley is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of women's fiction, family sagas, and suspense. She lives in a historic seaside town near Cape Cod, just south of Boston. She is an avid reader of women's fiction, romance, mysteries, thrillers, and cook books. There's a good chance you might get hungry when reading her books as she is a foodie, and occasionally shares a recipe or two. Allison King is an Asian American writer and software engineer based in Cambridge, Mass. In technology, her work has ranged from semiconductors to platforms for community conversations to data privacy. Her short stories have appeared in Fantasy Magazine, Diabolical Plots, and LeVar Burton Reads, among others. She is a 2023 Reese’s Book Club LitUp fellow. The Phoenix Pencil Company is her first novel. Meg Mitchell Moore worked for several years as a journalist for a variety of publications before turning to fiction.
