Join the Totem team—featuring pro and amateur skaters—for FREE Learn to Skate & Mentoring Sessions, followed by an epic SKATE, SCOOTER & BMX JAM for the CUP! 🏆 Open to ages 12-25 as part of Youth Week. Come sharpen your skills, meet the crew, and throw down your best tricks. All skill levels are welcome—don’t miss out! 🚀 About the RIGGS Cup The RIGGS Cup has been a big part of our personal story here at Totem and the Leeton/Griffth community for the last 23 years! Richard O’Hara(Riggs) was by far one of the best skaters in the area when we were growing up. Riggs was one of those guys who was frighteningly great at everything he tried. Unfortunately, Richie took his own life at the peak of his skating and Basketball career. Having this happen to such an inspirational young person hit the community hard, so we decided to celebrate Richard’s life in a yearly Skate comp and named it the RIGGS Cup. The first RIGGS cup was in 2003, just 3 years after we had finished the new skatepark. It was a massive event that brought communities around the area together to celebrate Richie’s life and shine a light on mental health. It was a beautiful day that has become part of the area’s story and a cornerstone of our work at Totem. Thanks to the @leetonshirecouncil for supporting this event over the last 23 years.
