Nguyen's debut chapbook, Kissing God's Gravel, delves into their personal journey as a first-generation Vietnamese American, grappling with the weight of war, generational trauma, and suicide. Each poem in the collection serves as a poignant prayer, lifting Nguyen out of grief and into a place of remembrance. Through heartfelt performances using a variety of multidisciplinary mediums, Nguyen will take audiences on a multidimensional exploration of their poetry, incorporating movement, visualization, and interactive elements. Please note that RSVP is required for this exclusive event, with a capacity of 42 people per night. General admission to the event is free, but there is an opportunity to pre-order the chapbook for $18. Additionally, donations are suggested to support Nguyen's artistic endeavors.
