Meet award winning creatives behind some of the greatest feature films, television and streaming industries as you get lost in the over 30 exhibitors offering one of a kind creations, displays, costuming clubs , LIVE music, food truck and more only found at THE GREAT PROP SWAP! Planned activities for the day: SHOPPING and SEEING!!!!!! This years offerings of amazing vendors will give you a variety like you wont find ANYWHERE ELSE. The Great Prop Swap is focused on prop replicas of all kinds and all genres, so you will see some amazing things for sale at incredible prices! If you are a costumer or a collector you will want to come check it out! Not a prop person? No problem! We also have gathered together some of the best clothing, comics and novelty vendors to spice things up! Cosplayers and costumers will certainly enjoy the day hanging out with other attendees, visiting the club area and shopping for great deals! The GREAT PROP SWAP Prop Replica Competition This competition challenges makers and costumers to recreate a prop or costume piece to the best of their abilities, focusing on one specific item instead of a head-to-toe costume look. The replica pieces will be on display from 9:AM -3:00 PM at each vendors booth. (You must be a vendor to participate). Our judges will select the Best Maker and winner will receive a trophy! Hey Mr. DJ! DJ-RUE that is! While you are hanging out and having a good time, DJ-RUE will be spinning and mixing all the greatest songs. There really isn’t a party that DJ RUE hasn’t rocked from his countless residencies, ranging from his humble Hip Hop beginnings, the Motown sounds of yesteryear, even the fist pumping electronic music of today; DJ RUE has done it all. DJ RUE has been the Master of Ceremonies at large events for major companies, sports teams and private parties. THE GREAT PROP SWAP welcomes you to enjoy the day with DJ RUE! Food Truck and Coffee Food Truck and other outside vendors are a summer staple and a welcomed addition at the Great Prop Swap! There’s nothing better than enjoying the great food, and a family-friendly atmosphere outside in the summertime! Diners are invited to come and experience various food offerings and drinks from our food trucks on the east lot! Charity, Cosplay and Fan Costume Groups The Great Prop Swap invites costuming groups like the San Diego Ghostbusters, San Diego Sabers and gaming or other costumers to come and hang out! The Great Prop Swap attracts all kinds of groups at the event. Some of these groups volunteer at children’s hospitals, appear at charity events, and host fundraisers for charitable causes.
