When their friends Betty and Vic arrive for dinner and two police officers call on the house, the evening descends into chaos. Hilarious innuendo and cruelly funny twists of fate ensue as the two couples assume various identities in their bid to keep hold of the contents of Henry's briefcase. Sacred Women’s Drum Circle Facilitator Training (accredited course) It is with great joy that you are welcomed to this transformative training. Below you will find information on the course (dates, cost, venue and content) and information on how to pay in full or your deposit. This training was born after many years of working with women in women’s circles, healing spaces and drum circles. Essentially it skilfully merges all of these and enables the participants to land in a safe space to fully access their authentic expression as well as bringing about deep healing for those in attendance and in the wider world. This work is vital for the new world we are beginning to inhabit. It brings people together, creates community and connects deeply into the earth and the sky. It enables travel between worlds, raises our vibration, lets us remember who we are and brings us always back to the heart. It is sacred. It is ancient. It is needed. Details of the training are as follows: Dates are: Friday 13th June 2025 to Monday 16th June 2025. ( Im running another course in September 19th to 22nd if these dates dont work for you) We begin at 9am each day and we will work until around 5:30pm each evening. Camping is free and recommended to make the most of the extensive space. Camper hookups are available at low cost and hot showers and a full kitchen is provided. Price of the training is £895. The Venue is: The Clophill Centre, Shefford Road,Clophill,Bedfordshire,MK45 4BT This glorious earth based centre will hold us throughout, we get an opportunity to walk a labyrinth and spend time in the underground earth chamber, a space dedicated to the divine feminine, and visit an altar to Pan and we will work in a round house with an extensive outdoor kitchen and the forest. FREE camping or Low cost campervan hookups are available on site. Other attendees may also be interested in shared local accommodation. We have exclusive access to our part of the site and so evening walks, drumming, ritual, ceremony and more is welcome. Content: Across this training you will be immersed in the Sacred Women’s Drum Circle method, developed over 10 years and 1000’s of drum circles! You will drum, share, sing and create your own ‘Leader Drum’ to start your circles with. You will be given all of the theory around opening safe space when drumming, creating the right conditions for participants to feel safe, developing intentions for drumming, encouraging free self-expression, understanding the way drumming changes the brain, what people experience when drumming, when and how to intervene, contraindications for drumming and how to shift the activities in the circle for the optimum benefit of attendees. You will learn how to gauge the space and provide all that the energy of the time and the people attending require. Once the in-person training is complete you will be asked to submit 6 case studies on circles that you have held and a reflective essay on the impact of Sacred Women’s Drum Circles on participants using evidence from your own practice. Dont worry, templates and examples will be provided. This is more about self reflection than academia!! There will be 12 months to complete this. During this time you can practise as a student. Once these are complete you will be awarded an Accreditation as Sacred Women’s Drum Circle Facilitator and your certificate will be posted to you. Closer to the course dates I will send information on what to bring including: things for drum making, food across the course, instruments you may already have etc. I will also send you a student information form to fill in and return to me. There is an opportunity to purchase low cost drums for your circles also. A weekend retreat by Norse Ritualist Andreas Kornevall and Shamanic Practitioner Melanie Tomsett of Shamanic Quest. There are a few places left to join us for a weekend exploration of runes, labyrinths, word-magic, ancestral rituals (blots) and land healing ceremonies. This weekend includes a night sitting quest (The Northern Traditional Utiseta) which will run from dusk to dawn on the Saturday night and conclude with a communal breakfast at dawn. The event begins on Friday 3rd October, 6pm and ends on Sunday the 5th October at 1pm. This is a time to make new friends and forge fellowship. Practicals, Costs and What to Bring: To bring: tarp (in case of rain), warm clothing, something to sit on, notepad, pen and personal objects. The cost (£275) includes teachings and ceremonies in a large roundhouse at the Clophill Retreat Centre. Clophill is dedicated to sharing sacred traditions and it is set on an exquisite 14-acre site, a place to be inspired in nature. Camping is available one site (tent or van, if you are bringing a van, please let us know). For a more glamorous overnight on the Friday there are also rooms (but is not included in this cost, it would need to be booked separately). Food is provided on Friday night and Sunday breakfast (vegetarian options available), snacks and teas are available throughout the weekend. But please bring your own lunch for Saturday and something to eat (small) before the Utiseta on the Saturday night. The Utiseta is not a fasting tradition like the Vision Quest, but you are encouraged to eat less on the Saturday night and wait for the breakfast on Sunday morning, if possible, but its not a rule. Your Guides: Andreas Kornevall is an author, storyteller and ecological activist. He grew up in South America, Sweden and Switzerland. His book "Waking the Dragons" is out through Green Magic Publishing. Through his charity he has planted over 200 woodlands in the United Kingdom and he has been voted by the University of Southern California as one of their 100 spiritual exemplars. Melanie Tomsett of Shamanic Quest began her formal training in Shamanics over 30 years ago. Shamanic Quest was created in 2010 in response to a call from those asking for training in shamanics and Runic wisdom. Since then, Melanie holds workshops, courses, ceremonies, drum circles, women’s circles and personal shamanic counselling under the Shamanic Quest umbrella. She has continued to grow her knowledge and experience working with Native American, Central American and South African Shamans.
