Learn advanced techniques in creating exquisite wire wrap jewelry from master wire sculpture artist, Russell Lawson. This advanced course on Stone Setting offers a choice of advanced techniques to enhance your skill set from the introductory course. Delve into the world of 'fancy' jewelry by mastering advanced cabochon wraps, chainmail, crochet, macramé, and other intricate techniques not commonly found online. In this 4-hour class, you will be guided through the finer points of crafting stunning wire wrap cabochons and pendants, building upon your existing knowledge. Prior completion of the Intro wire wrapping class or previous experience in jewelry making is required for enrollment in this limited-capacity session, accommodating up to 5 students. The all-inclusive fee of $95 covers instruction, supplies, knowledge sharing, and a finished pendant. Renowned glassblowing artist, Ryan Gothrup, will lead the workshop at The Inventor Center on 118 Shelby St. Participants will have the unique opportunity to create their own glass flower under Ryan's expert guidance. Depending on time, students may also craft a glass paperweight or other glass bauble, immersing themselves in the mesmerizing world of molten glass. Safety is paramount, with all participants required to wear natural fiber clothing, full-length pants, long sleeves, and closed-toed shoes. The workshop, from 12-3 pm, is limited to 12 students aged 18 and above. Materials will be provided, and tickets are priced at $70.
