The 10th Annual Silicon Valley Jewish Playwriting Contest will be held at the Freidenrich Conference Center in Palo Alto. This prestigious event, scheduled for April 14, 2024, offers an exciting opportunity for theater enthusiasts to participate in the selection of a brilliant new play. The Jewish Plays Project (JPP) has been at the forefront of discovering, highlighting, and nurturing contemporary Jewish drama for the past decade. With over 1,800 plays vetted from writers in 34 states and 10 countries, the JPP has actively developed 55 of these plays, with 36 going on to production in cities worldwide. This year's contest promises to be a stellar evening of community, culture, and artistic democracy. Join City Producers Lauren Berman, Deb Radin, Judy Kitt, Ellice Papp, and Susan Sims, along with a talented cast of actors, for an engaging 90-minute performance featuring the work of three gifted playwrights. Your vote and voice will be crucial in determining the winner. Make sure to arrive early and enjoy the opportunity to mingle with the cast during the reception on the terrace.
