Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2026 | Turin
Celebration
The 2026 "Gastronomy of the Earth" exhibition will be held in downtown Turin from September 24th to 28th, 2026, as a special celebration to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Slow Food Italy. This event, co-hosted by the City of Turin, the Piedmont Region, and the Slow Food organization, is dedicated to promoting food policy and advocating for quality, clean, and equitable food. The event will provide an opportunity to reflect on the core mission of the Slow Food movement: to protect and promote the biodiversity of food, knowledge, and culture globally. The event encompasses hundreds of activities throughout Turin, including conferences, tasting workshops, meals with chefs and producers, sensory experiences, and new formats developed in collaboration with leading local cultural institutions. In addition, educational activities will engage schools, children, and communities through exchanges with food professionals and visits to schools and community gardens. A highlight of this event is the "Terra Madre Salone del Gusto" market, which brings together hundreds of producers from Italy and around the world who are committed to protecting biodiversity and promoting their regions through sustainable food systems rooted in local culture.
