Forest School Family Fun is our new monthly Forest School at Lunt Meadows. Discover, play, be creative and have fun together in our outdoor classroom. Under the guidance of our Forest School leader, we offer the space and freedom to play, explore and connect with the natural environment whilst facilitating fun activities your child may want to join in with, such as nature crafts, scavenger hunts, wood working or scavenger hunts. There is always time at Forest School for a snack and drink too. Our sessions are suitable for children of all ages, who love the outdoors and enjoy nature. Children must be accompanied by an adult with a ticket. Children under 2 are free but must book a ticket. Please come dressed for the weather so your family are comfortable and able to make the most of the experience. Please wear wellies and bring waterproofs. Join our experienced birders and volunteers for an early walk to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day. Meeting in the car park, we’ll walk round the nature reserve listening to the lovely songs of the birds as they each take the stage in nature’s greatest symphony. We will have regular stops on the walk to take time to listen to the birds and identify some calls. This will be a lovely opportunity to start the day differently. C ar parking charge included. Please give your registration to the walk leader on the day. Some parts of this walk will be on uneven ground and it can be muddy, so please wear sensible walking shoes like hiking boots or wellies and appropriate clothing for the weather. Please note that sightings aren't guaranteed, however the best part about this event is to take in all the beautiful songs ringing out as the day begins.
