If you are a local business owner you may like to give us a try. We normally have between 10-25 small business owners at our meetings. We have an informal style which allows you to build relationships with businesses in the room. our Next meeting shall be on The 23rd of May from 10:00-11:45. All businesses are welcome to attend, we are now fully booked with MLM companies, Financial advisiors, Photographers and Travel agents but any other businesses are welcome to attend. Introducing a new workshop from Sew Vintage where you will discover how to make a mini pleated lampshade using beautiful Lewis & Wood fabric remnants. Sophie & Victoria will guide you through all the techniques needed to make these pretty 'pop on' shades which are perfect for small lamp bases. Once you know the steps you'll be able to make them at any size, so this is the ideal introduction to this lampshade method. All materials are included with a fantastic choice of Lewis & Wood fabric and an array of ribbons to add the final flourish. Our light-filled studio space is the ideal spot for this tempting session. Once you've covered your hangers, you can then add a decorative flourish using embroidery, vintage buttons and ribbons. These are so lovely to give as gifts or keep for yourself! Spaces are limited at these sales to allow for leisurely browsing and there will be coffee and pastries to accompany. There is a nominal booking fee redeemable against any purchases on the day. We're thrilled that Nadia Oliver Interiors will be joining us to offer one-to-one sessions throughout the morning. Nadia is well known for her confident use of colour and pattern so if you're in need of a little help with your decorating decisions this is a wonderful opportunity to gain invaluable interior design advice. In your 30 minute session Nadia will help you find the most effective colour palette for a space in your home, conjuring up the perfect scheme with an array of Lewis & Wood designs on hand to inspire. Please come prepared with photographs of your room, any swatches you already have, plus information about any existing elements in the space that need to be considered. Come along to the Top Floor for an evening of crafting joy. You can try out our seasonal make or bring along a project of your own. There are stacks of beautiful Lewis & Wood designs to inspire you along with guidance from textile artist Alexandra Hucks. This session Alex will give a tutorial on fabric and wallpaper remnant collages which were very popular at our Spring Craft Day. Take a look at the images above to see some of the amazing creations made by our guests and be inspired to make your own. You'll be shown how to compose your panels and add decorative detail with embroidery stitches. This is a project to complete at your own pace and there is no expection to finish on the day. After completion the panels can be turned into cushion covers or framed as art work. These sessions also offer a taster of our upcoming workshop themes, so if you've been thinking about joining us for a day course, here's a chance to find out what's in store.
