Cycle Fest is hosting a hands-on, in-person cycle class at the Strathclyde Park Watersports Centre in Motherwell. This class is perfect for primary-aged children who are looking to master cycling for the first time. Led by NLC Active Schools Coaches and NLC Sports Development, the session focuses on building confidence, spatial awareness, and dynamic balance skills to help children develop their cycling abilities. The class lasts for 90 minutes and provides the option to bring your own bike or use one provided for P4-P7 age groups. P1-P3 students must bring their own bikes due to limited availability. Helmets will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own. Please meet your coaches at the Watersports Centre reception before your session, and remember to bring proof of booking as spaces are extremely limited. In addition, Cycle Fest offers a cycle confidence session for children who have already learned to ride but could benefit from some extra coaching. This session is for all primary-school aged children and lasts for 120 minutes. The same bike and helmet arrangements apply for this session. Led by NLC Active Schools Coaches and NLC Sports Development, the Learn to Cycle sessions focus on building confidence, spatial awareness, and dynamic balance skills. The 90-minute session provides children with the opportunity to develop their cycling skills in a safe and supportive environment. Children are welcome to bring their own bikes, but we can also provide bikes for P4-P7 age groups. P1-P3 students must bring their own bikes due to current availability. Helmets will be provided, or you can bring your own. Please meet your coaches at the Watersports Centre reception in Strathclyde Country Park before your session.
