A Morning at the Movies – Children’s Cinema Club (Ages 5–11) Drop-off 10:00 AM | Pick-up 2:00 PM Includes a film, and supervised fun! Please note : P arents to provide nut free snacks and a lunch. Looking for a few hours to yourself while your little one enjoys a fun, safe and screen-worthy morning? Our Children’s Cinema Club is the perfect solution! This is a drop-off event for children aged 5 to 11, offering four hours of fully supervised entertainment, laughter and play. We’ll start the morning with a family-friendly film, with the snacks provided , followed by lunch provided by their parents then some – indoors or outdoors fun, depending on the weather! Team Allocation : Teams will be formed based on the player's current school district. For example, Perry Hall and Poverest schools will play for the Orpington Ospreys, and Harris Beckenham will play for the Beckenham Bison. If your child is out of district, they will be placed in the most suitable team. Important Info : This event is open to anyone playing lacrosse through school, at an extracurricular club, or at Bromley Lacrosse Club. The league uses field lacrosse , not pop lacrosse, so coach guidance will be provided throughout. Players should wear sportswear, including football boots/studs if possible, as the games will be on grass. Food and Refreshments : Food will be served from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Join the Godwine Choir for a concert reflecting on memory and place, through a varied programme of folk songs, modern classics, and vivid choral writing. The programme includes well-known arrangements of Loch Lomond, The Salley Gardens, and Shenandoah, alongside Lauridsen’s Sure on this Shining Night and Copland’s I Bought Me a Cat. Young Driver Challenge not only offers your child the chance to start their driving development in a safe controlled environment with a fully qualified Driving Instructor before their 17th birthday but we can also help those who are too nervous to drive on the road and those who will not be able to get a driving licence for medical reasons. All our driving instructors teach in a dual controlled car and we have strict limits as to the number of cars on the course. By learning how to control a car while they are under 17 your child will be able to start driving in a calm environment with the same instructor all the way up to taking their first lesson on the road and beyond. Your child will be taught in a very flexible way tailored to their needs and preferred learning styles. By starting early and in an ‘off road’ environment you can even save money in the long run. At Young Driver Challenge we have a wide range of surfaces for your child to explore so that they can better understand how the car handles differently in varying conditions. Most importantly unlike other young driver schemes we have plenty of space to use making it much easier to tackle a wide range of driving skills. We have a wide range of activities for your child to do which allow them better understand what is required of a driver and to start building the sense of responsibility early and in a fun way. We welcome you to sit in on the final couple of laps as this gives you a chance to see your child developing as a driver and also foster the idea of you being involved and supporting them in their driving from the very beginning.
