Discover the perfect opportunity to unwind, get creative, and learn some fun printmaking skills at the All day / Half day Linoprint multicoloured prints workshop in Broadmead. Hosted by experienced teacher and Bristol-based printmaker Kate Miller, this immersive workshop focuses on teaching you how to produce a stunning multi-coloured print using top-quality materials.
During this workshop, you will have the option to enjoy a focused session designing, carving, and printing your own artwork, or extend to a full day to allow for a more mindful pace and further development of your skills. The full-day session runs from 11am to 5pm, with a one-hour lunch break at 1:30pm. The half-day session runs from 11am to 1:30pm.
In this unique experience, you will have the opportunity to carve your own lino plates using soft cut lino, discover the technique of jigsawing your design to allow for the application of multiple colours, ink up your plates with rollers and quality printing inks, and print your own linoprint using a Woodzilla press onto A4 Snowdon paper. At the end of the workshop, you will have your very own multicoloured linoprint, ready to be proudly displayed on your wall.
Whether you are a beginner or have previous experience, this workshop is perfect for all levels and abilities. All materials, tools, tea, and coffee are included, so all you need to bring is yourself and the desire to try something new. The workshop will be held at Prior Shop - Cabot Circus (Independent Superstore) in Broadmead.
