Join us for an extraordinary event, "An In-Person Reading and Conversation with award-winning novelist Angie Cruz," taking place on March 20, 2024, at the esteemed Binghamton University Art Museum in Binghamton. We are honored to host Angie Cruz, a renowned novelist and editor, who will captivate the audience with her reading from her latest novel, "How Not To Drown in A Glass of Water" (2022). This exceptional work has garnered numerous accolades, including being shortlisted for The Aspen Words Literary Prize and winning the Gold Medal, Latino Book Award/The Isabel Allende Most Inspirational Book Award. Additionally, it has been longlisted for the Joyce Carol Oates Literary Prize and recognized as one of The New York Times 100 Notable Books of 2022 and The Washington Post 50 Notable Works of Fiction. Cruz's previous novel, "Dominicana," was the inaugural book chosen for the GMA book club and received critical acclaim as a finalist for The Women's Prize. It was also longlisted for the Andrew Carnegie Medals for Excellence in Fiction and won the ALA/YALSA Alex Award in fiction. This captivating author has also published two other remarkable novels, "Soledad" and "Let It Rain Coffee."
