Indulge in a romantic evening this Valentine's Day at Bookstore1Sarasota's special event, "An Ode to Love." Immerse yourself in the enchanting ambiance of our loft as you enjoy a delightful selection of decadent desserts paired with exquisite beverages. The soothing melodies of live music will fill the air, creating a captivating atmosphere for an unforgettable evening. Professional actors will perform readings of the love poems of Pablo Neruda, a renowned Chilean poet-diplomat and Nobel Prize winner. The poems will be spaced out, allowing ample time for conversation and appreciation of the musical accompaniment. This after-hours event will take place outside of our usual operating hours, with doors closing at 6 p.m. and reopening at 7:30 p.m. exclusively for guests attending the program. Please note that the desserts may contain common allergens, such as flour and nuts. Although we cannot accommodate individual dietary restrictions, we have curated a diverse spread of sweets, some of which may be suitable for certain dietary needs. Registration will close one hour before the event, so be sure to secure your spot in advance. If you are unable to attend, kindly inform us so that we can offer your seat to someone on our waitlist.
