Annie Jr. - De Musical is a captivating stage production based on the 1977 musical Annie, which was inspired by the comic strip Little Orphan Annie created by Harold Gray. This remarkable performance tells the story of Annie, a determined young girl who overcomes numerous obstacles in her quest to find her parents. Alongside a group of other orphaned children, Annie rises up against Miss Hannigan, the alcoholic and unpleasant head of the orphanage.

The musical features a delightful score composed by Charles Strouse, with lyrics by Martin Charnin. One of the standout songs from the show is "Tomorrow," which has achieved worldwide recognition. At 'De Zangschool' in Dordrecht, our talented students will be bringing this beloved musical to life under the guidance of our experienced director, Joska, who is also a former student of 'De Zangschool'.

Annie's journey takes her from the bleak confines of the orphanage to the luxurious home of Oliver Warbucks, one of the wealthiest men in America. What starts as a publicity stunt for the grouchy and unsympathetic Warbucks soon blossoms into a lifelong friendship between the millionaire and the street-smart young girl.
