The venue for this insightful gathering is at the Central Public Library – Programme Room 2, located at 100 Victoria Street, National Library Board, Singapore, 188064. The Artists Village (TAV), a pioneering art colony in Singapore since 1988, has been instrumental in shaping the contemporary art landscape of the country. Known for its focus on performance art, installation art, and process-based work, TAV continues to push boundaries and foster artistic expression. In addition to organizing exhibitions, Happenings, and symposia, TAV recently celebrated its 30th anniversary with the presentation of Epilogue during the Singapore Art Week in 2022. Renowned for its significant contributions to the art scene, TAV was also honored with an exhibition at the Singapore Art Museum in 2008, reflecting on its impact over the past two decades. Furthermore, in 2023, TAV was invited to showcase its work at the prestigious M+ Hong Kong exhibition. The Art History Club offers a unique opportunity to delve into the rich history and cultural significance of TAV and its role in shaping contemporary art in Singapore.

Breathtaking view from the bay side and also from the boat on the river and bay. Sunset and evening time is more suitable to visit since the city comes alive at that time. Must visit when travelling through Singapore or having a trip here.
