Ethan Tapper will be here to speak on the art of forest management and the importance of compassionate conservation. He may also do a brief reading from his recent book, which Bill McKibben describes as “Beautifully written, full of scenes those of us who live in and love the forests of the northeast will recognize immediately.”  The presentation will end with a Q&A, after which Ethan will be available to sign copies of his book, copies of which will be for sale thanks to Phoenix Books.  Ethan Tapper worked as Chittenden County Forester for eight years. He left his position in June to promote his new book and establish a conservation consulting practice—Bear Island Forestry.
