Beyond Abstraction, a creative workshop with Stephen Calhoun, offers participants a unique opportunity to engage in collaborative and iterative image building. Renowned artist Stephen Calhoun provides a platform for attendees to explore their creativity and immerse themselves in the process of image creation. Utilizing materials from the late Archived Artist Kathy Skerritt, participants will experience an accessible, spontaneous, and improvisatory approach to image-building.

During the workshop, Stephen will demonstrate the use of various tools, including iPhone/iPad and digital cameras, to enhance the creative process. This hands-on experience allows attendees to learn new techniques and develop their artistic skills. In addition, participants will receive a final printable work of art as a memento of their artistic journey.

The workshop will take place in-person at the esteemed Artists Archives of the Western Reserve (AAWR) gallery in Cleveland. Located at 1834 E. 123rd St., Cleveland, OH 44106, the venue provides a conducive environment for artistic exploration.
