Join Freya Gereke of Odd Fox & Fern for an immersive workshop on botanical watercolors. This introductory session is designed to enhance your watercolor skills and techniques by painting a variety of botanicals and flowers. Gain expertise in brush and water control, wet and dry techniques, and troubleshooting. Once you feel confident with the fundamental skills, you will have the opportunity to create a personalized freeform botanical composition. This workshop caters to all skill levels, making it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. While students are encouraged to bring their own paints and brushes, materials will be provided for those in need. 

Freya Gereke, a first-generation German American artist, nurtures her deep connection with nature through her artwork. Inspired by flora, fauna, and fungi, she uses nature-derived materials whenever possible. In 2021, Freya founded Odd Fox and Fern to share her passion for fiber arts, watercolor paintings, and intimate workshops. 

Don't miss this incredible opportunity to explore the world of botanical watercolors. The workshop will take place at Rock Paper Scissors Collective in Oakland, California, on October 14, 2023. Tickets are available at a sliding scale of $30 - $40. Additionally, one need-based Assistant Scholarship is offered in exchange for setup and teardown assistance, as well as occasional support during the workshop.
