Here are peddlers and donkeys traveling across moonlit fields; artists drinking and debating in the tea-houses of 1920s Seoul; soldiers fighting for survival; exiles from the war who can never go home again; and lonely men and women searching for connection in the dizzying modern city. The collection features stories by some of Korea's greatest writers, including Pak Wanso, O Chonghui, and Cho Chongnae, as well as many brilliant contemporary voices, such as P'yon Hyeyong, Han Yujoo, and Kim Aeran. Curated by Bruce Fulton, this is a volume that will surprise, unsettle, and delight. ABOUT THE SPEAKERS: Bruce Fulton is Associate Professor and Young-Bin Min Chair in Korean Literature and Literary Translation at the University of British Columbia. He has translated many major works of Korean literature over the past forty years.

The Space Needle is actually quite nice. It is even more beautiful on sunny days! Seattle is not like other big cities in the United States. It actually has a petty-bourgeois feel! The Museum of Pop and Chihuly Glass Tube near the Space Needle are both great to visit! I forgot the ticket price, but it seemed to be more than $30. I like the big lawn behind the Space Needle, and then walk along the park towards the coastline. In the evening, I gradually see the sunset slowly appearing between the houses. It is so romantic! The top of the Space Needle is also decorated as a Christmas tree on Christmas! This little thought is so lovely!

Chihuly is a gorgeous work of art near the space needle.   The interior museum features beautiful glass installations. my favorite was the atrium with the glass flowers.

The Seattle Museum of Flight is located next to Boeing. It is divided into two exhibition areas, indoor and outdoor, and mainly displays Boeing products: from transport aircraft, fighter jets to passenger aircraft. There is also a wax figure of Premier Zhou and Nixon shaking hands, with the background being the Air Force One that Nixon took during his first visit to China in 1972.
