Susie McCabe’s career has been so stratospheric in recent years, she’s indisputably one of the biggest acts working in Scottish comedy today. Having made multiple TV appearances including Have I Got News for You, Live At The Apollo, Frankie Boyle’s New World Order and Question Time, she’s also had a sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show and a triple-sell out run at the legendary King’s Theatre in Glasgow. Even with multiple Scottish Comedy Awards under her belt, she had to make room on her shelf for one more when in 2024 she was awarded the Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, with the accolade presented by the Big Yin himself via video link. “I was blown sideways!” – Billy Connolly “A naturally funny storyteller and a genuine stand up. There will be 30 minutes from the host and support acts, followed by a 15 minute interval, and then Susie will be on for one hour uninterrupted. • Don’t talk or heckle during the performances. This rule is NOT optional. It is very distracting for both the performer and other audience members. Some performers (usually the host) might talk to the audience, but otherwise please let the comedians do the talking. Heckling does not ‘help the show’. Think of it like cinema rules: laughter, cheers, applause are all great, but talking or yelling out is not. And another cinema rule… • Please put your phone on silent. Photos are fine but please no video or flash photography. • If your chair is not facing the stage when you come in, please rotate it when the show starts. • These shows are for people aged 18 and over. You may be asked to show ID if you do not look of age. • Craicfriars Comedy does not necessarily agree or disagree with the opinions and viewpoints expressed by the comedians. Acts are booked based on their ability to make people laugh, beyond that we respect freedom of expression. If you disagree or are offended by what you hear, you are free to express this by not laughing, by leaving, or by respectfully raising your objections with the act after the show or via social media.
