Details
The December Women & LGBTQIA+ Group Trail Run in Louisville is a monthly event dedicated to fostering community and connection. This low-key and enjoyable run or run/walk covers approximately 3-5 miles. The route typically includes a loop around Davidson Mesa, spanning around 3 miles, as well as one or two loops around Harper Lake, each about 0.9 miles. All women and LGBTQIA+ runners, including those aspiring to become runners, are warmly welcomed to participate. All paces and levels of experience are encouraged to join, as there will be a run/walk option available. The average pace during these runs is between 11 and 13 minutes per mile. The trail itself consists of a wide gravel path that is mostly flat, so there is no need for specialized trail shoes. If you are interested in trying out trail running or simply value the sense of community and connection more than speed, this group run is perfect for you. For any inquiries, please contact Kelly Lutz at kelly@coachingklutz.com. Remember, this event takes place on December 16, 2023, at the Leon A Wurl Wildlife Sanctuary in Louisville. Admission is free, so mark your calendars for this exciting opportunity to be a part of the Women & LGBTQIA+ Group Trail Run.
