Join the Edinburgh Literary Salon for December's Festive Salon at Argonaut Books in Edinburgh. This highly anticipated event promises an evening filled with Readings, Refreshments, and Entertainment. It's the perfect opportunity to end the Literary Year in style at one of our favorite bookshops. Embracing the spirit of the season, we're adopting the KISS principle - Keep It Simple, Stupid! Expect a delightful evening of readings, including selections from our fabulous anthology, The Golden Hours, along with mingling and other surprises. The festivities kick off with a wine reception at 6.30, followed by a livestream of the entertainment on Zoom at 7pm. The program will last approximately 75 minutes. Limited slots are available for in-person readers on a first-come basis. If you'd like to read (six minutes only!), simply book a 'Reader' ticket and we'll add you to the list. Don't worry if it's over-subscribed, as we'll create a waiting list. Confirmation and further details will be provided after December 9th. After the event, we invite you to continue the celebration at a local hostelry, as is our customary tradition. The schedule for the evening is as follows: Doors open at 6.30 with drinks and refreshments at Argonaut Books. At 6.50, we'll open the Zoom meeting (details will be emailed to all ticket-holders). The Festive Readings and Entertainment begin promptly at 7.00. There will be a short break at 7.35, allowing you to purchase presents from Argonaut Books. The evening concludes with further Festive Readings and mingling at 7.45. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with fellow literature enthusiasts in person or virtually. The event is free to register, with options to donate for a glass of wine or contribute towards our work. We welcome attendees of all backgrounds and encourage constructive feedback for future improvements. Argonaut Books is an accessible venue with easy access to bus and tram stops. The view from Edinburgh Castle is beautiful, even though there was a layer of fog when we visited, it was still stunning to see the New town and the Old town. Besides it being a sight to see, there was a rich amount of history that could be easily understood with all the museums and detailed displays all over the castle. Edinburgh Castle also houses the oldest building in Edinburgh, multiple museums in one castle, and of course, the iconic One 0&rsquo;clock Gun.

Very good place, the palace is not big, the old wooden floor is creaking, very atmospheric, I like it very much! ! I hope that in the future, I can see the part that has not been built or repaired, next to the Royal Art Gallery.

It is a must-visit place in Edinburgh. On the hill, there are lots of good spots to get a good view of the city. Old Town, New Town, Arthur&#39;s Seat, and the sea are all visible there.

Old city. Some say it is grey and depressing but for me it is a place of power and strength. It is not that crowded as most tourist places (except for the castle I guess). Lots of free activities. Plenty of pretty buildings to take photos of! Also do use the guide - very interesting about all the scientists and poets born there. Definitely will go again in summer to see more of those greens and sip on a cocktail in a local pub.
