Defensive Carry 4.0 is an advanced 4-hour session designed for students who have successfully completed level 1 and level 2 or 3 Defensive Carry Classes. This class, held at Northern Chester County Sportsmen's Club in Elverson, will focus on enhancing skills learned in previous classes, with a strong emphasis on bullet accountability. Topics covered include complex movement, elevation changes, use of cover and concealment, and stress inoculation. Participants will engage with multiple steel targets and 3D torsos to enhance their shooting abilities in various scenarios. Led by experienced instructor Jim, the class requires 200 rounds of ammunition, which can be purchased at a discounted rate. The cost of the session is $225, which includes the range fee. To secure a spot, a 50% deposit is mandatory, with a tuition deposit policy in place for cancellations or no-shows. Please note that 80% home-built firearms are not permitted in the class due to reliability concerns. Participants are required to bring their own equipment, including a safe and operational handgun, ANSI eye protection, and digital ear protection. Additionally, a quality holster, belt, and magazine carriers are necessary for the session. Make sure to have at least 300 rounds of FMJ ammo, as well as cleaning and clearing kits. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather conditions during outdoor classes to ensure a comfortable learning experience.
