This year we are extending an invitation to our extended community of filmmakers, film lovers, and partner filmmaker groups, as we uplift each other with like-minded folks interested in amplifying underrepresented voices in the industry… and have some fun in the process!
Our spring time theme is Let’s Get Loud! From stripes to florals to funky designs - come rocking your favorite patterns or color combos.
There will be a discounted cash bar with beer, wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks. We will be making a toast and taking a group photo around 7pm.

The Museum of the Moving Image
is a media museum located in Queens. It is the only museum in the U.S. that explores the central technology of the present moment. Screens are all around us. We use them to educate, entertain, and communicate. The moving image—encompassing film, television, video games, and other forms of digital media—shapes how we see and feel the world. is a national network that works to increase the visibility and support of Asian Americans in the documentary field. A-Doc is committed to sharing ideas and resources, providing mutual support and mentorship, and advocating for equity and diversity in the production and distribution of non-fiction storytelling.
AWD
is a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the number of women and gender non-binary directors working in the entertainment industry.
Through advocacy, support, and education, the
Alliance for Women Film Composers
aims to increase the visibility of women composers active in media scoring. The AWFC advocates for the inclusion of women composers within industry events; supports filmmakers, game developers and studios in their inclusion of women composers; and educates, mentors and inspires emerging women composers.
Black Film Space
is a 501(c) 3 non profit organization dedicated to improving the careers of Black filmmakers. Our mission is to provide education, community building experiences and pipeline programs in the film industry for people of African descent. We facilitate a variety of affordable programs and events including grants, mentorship opportunities, film screenings, panel discussions, networking mixers, access to our jobs board and professional development workshops.
Brown Girls Doc Mafia
(BGDM)’s mission is to nurture, amplify, and invest in the creative capacity and professional success of BIPOC* women and nonbinary people working in the documentary industry.
The
Documentary Producer Alliance
's mission is to amplify the voice of documentary producers worldwide by educating the industry about the essential role that producers play from development through financing, production, and distribution; and by setting standards for inclusive, sustainable, and equitable documentary filmmaking practices based on research, collective experience, and input from industry stakeholders.
Film Fatales
is a non profit arts organization which advocates for parity in the film industry and supports an inclusive community of over a thousand feature film and television directors of all marginalized genders. We raise the visibility of marginalized directors and expand the talent pool for decision makers looking to work with underrepresented voices. Together, we can build a more equitable industry for us all.
The International Community of Female⁺ Cinematographers
(ICF⁺C) is a collective of professional female cinematographers from around the US and the world, who provide each other with community support and industry advocacy.
Established in 1972 to address the under and misrepresentation of women in media both behind and in front of the camera,
Women Make Movies
is a non-profit media arts organization dedicated to seeding the industry with tomorrow's leaders and advancing gender and racial equity in the documentary film industry. WMM does this by facilitating the production, promotion, distribution, and exhibition of independent films and media by and about women through internationally recognized Distribution Services and a Production Assistance Program.
New York Women in Film & Television
(NYWIFT) works in collaboration with the moving image industry and supports women at every stage of their careers. NYWIFT energizes filmmakers by illuminating their achievements, presenting training and professional development programs, awarding scholarships and grants, and providing access to a supportive community of peers.
